This course is designed for students who are in Year 9 and are enthusiastic about chemistry and who would like to build a firm foundation for further study at GCSE-Level.
This course is designed for students who are ideally in Year 9 and have a basic understanding of the chemistry that's covered in earlier years. They will get the opportunity to build on the knowledge and understanding of chemistry gained during Key Stage 2 and 3 and be provided with a firm foundation for further study at GCSE. Students will cover the fundamental aspects of chemistry such as atoms, elements and compounds. By the end of the course, students will be able to identify unifying patterns and themes in chemistry and use them in new and changing situations, while also understanding and using chemical facts, terminology, concepts and principles.
