This short course helps students to develop core analytical skills, with particular emphasis on applying critical thought. The student will be able to confidently think outside the box by the end of this course.
This short course helps to develop core analytical skills by looking at different approaches to studying film. The student will be able to confidently think outside the box and offer different readings and interpretations, but always within the parameters of exam questions. The communication skills aspect will facilitate the journey from evaluative analysis to assuredly expressing ideas both verbally and in writing. During this short course, we will journey through the use of film language and apply it and learn the theory behind film studies. We will work on students' ability to communicate in class, during presentations and essay writing.
