Teaching Experience

My teaching or training experience began when I started working at my first job. I had done a course in computer graphic design. My boss at the advertising company I worked for bought computers and because I was the only one in the office who had any training, I was given the task of teaching and training my peers, including my boss.

I was an assistant dance teacher part-time and helped teach syllabus work to pupils. It was challenging to teach pupils who did not know how to move their body, but with patience and encouragement, the results were amazing.

As a merchandising manager, I also trained and mentored staff in stores. I enjoyed sharing my knowledge and helping them to achieve their best. When I was a floor manager at a popular club, I was responsible for educating and mentoring the new staff. I had to learn to communicate with a lot of diverse people from different countries and managed over 100 staff members by building good team spirit and motivation.

I realised that my true potential lies in teaching and decided to begin a career teaching English online. I finally took the step in 2019. I started working at a first-class learning centre shortly after receiving my TESOL Certificate. I have done extensive training and have taught more than 1300 pupils. I have received many encouraging and wonderful remarks from my pupils. I was given the task of teaching one pupil a variety of songs to compete in the English Day Competition. This was a pupil who had some learning difficulties. I received a wonderful message from her mother and a video. I have never felt so proud my pupil came 2nd in the competition. I know the struggle she had and the difficulties she faced, but together we did it.

Before my work as a supply teacher, I was a Languages teacher at a high school for girls for three years. Through my work, I have catapulted learning speed, fluency and accent through the utilisation of native French language skills to add further dimensions and increase understanding of students. At one school, I spearheaded a 92% pass rate in languages. All in all, my experiences and successes as a Languages teacher have enabled me to be an excellent teacher to students outside of school hours.

I am a certified English teacher. Throughout my career, I've been recognised for my work ethic and effectiveness. I'm greatly passionate about my profession, and I love helping others improve their English. I have a 120-hr TESOL Certificate and a bachelor's degree in fine art and graphic design.

I have many hobbies which include watching sports, reading books, watching movies, cooking, travelling, spending time with my family, art, drawing and anything else interesting that grabs my attention.
