My experience and skills lie in supporting others to become more informed, equipped and competent in their areas of need and interest.
I have worked with a wealth of young people in Australia and the UK, supporting them to improve grade results by streamlining revision strategies and techniques. I have also supported younger students through different interview processes, aiding them to develop confidence in their own voice and academic and creative ability.
I have also delivered support, workshops, and training to adults on building a project plan, inclusive employment practices, community engagement and impact measurement.
Having spent the last three years working as a Project Manager in the Community Development sector, I’m currently enjoying mentoring young people to achieve their academic and personal potential and am looking forward to starting a PGCE at the University of Cambridge later this year.
My academic interests and experience lie in theology, religion, philosophy and ethics, as well as history, visual media and literature. I particularly enjoy examining art as a lens through which to better understand contemporary religion and culture, as well as fostering Biblical literacy and exploring its impact on society. I have received multiple accolades for my research and written work and relish opportunities to grow these skills in others.
With the exception of a year in Australia, I’ve always lived in the South West of England and make the most of Devon’s beautiful landscape by swimming in its rivers and coastlines regularly. When I’m not in the water or working with young people, I’m usually doing something creative – from sewing dresses for special occasions to getting messy with clay.
