This course gives A-Level students an opportunity to consolidate everything they have learned in media studies. Equally, there is a strong emphasis laid on exam technique and timings.
This intensive A-Level Media Studies course completes A-Level Media Studies in one term via fourteen two-hour lessons. Timings are crucial. For example, if the student embarks upon the course in term one or early in term two, then two further two-hour revision sessions are added close to the exams - examples will be used. Exams will take place throughout the duration of the study. Set work will be studied each week within a theoretical framework. It is envisaged that this course would be undertaken by high-level ability learners completely outside of the classroom as an additional A-Level to those already being studied. It is also possible that a student who, for any reason, has not been able to complete their studies in the classroom can enrol on this course. It is also expected that some learners may need additional hours over and beyond the allocated time for this course. Outstanding supporting learning resources will be supplied.
