For beginner and intermediate students, getting ready to step into the world of performing and recording can seem like a daunting prospect. Based on years of experience, this insightful course will help drummers cultivate a consistent mindset and set of practices to help them feel in control and deliver their best, no matter what their level. Starting with the physical side of drumming, students will learn how to create the ideal drumming warmup for different situations. They will develop repeatable methods that work for them every time, and which can be expanded on to become invaluable lifelong tools. The mental and psychological aspects of drumming are also covered, dealing with subjects ranging from pre-performance nerves to focus on improvement techniques, working with other people, gear tips and checklists.
