Teaching Experience

I have seven years of combined online and in-school teaching experience.

After having worked as a teaching assistant in a language school between the ages of 14 and 17, I knew that I wanted to transfer my in-school skills to an online format so that I could help more pupils from around the world. I began freelancing as an online educator when I started university, and I have since been given nearly 500 hours of lessons!

Over the last four years of online teaching, I have developed and diversified my methods to suit a wide range of needs and age groups. I have helped students to get into the UK's top independent schools, I have taught some incredible students from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve their academic goals, and I have taught both young and old to boost their confidence in new subjects. Most importantly, the courses I offer come from years of meeting exam board requirements that students need to grasp in order to get the grades they want. The resources and experience that go into my courses will give you all the tools to reach your full potential.

About Georgio K

At the University of Cambridge, my studies focused on modern languages and literature (French, Spanish). I spent a year working for a translation agency in Paris as part of my compulsory year abroad. The diverse linguistic and literary demands of my degree have pushed my language and analytical skills far beyond what I imagined to be possible. During my degree, I also took the opportunity to fulfil my childhood dream of learning Russian by completing an advanced Russian language and literature course at the University of Cambridge's Languages Centre. I have recently received my C1 Russian certificate (the equivalent of degree-level proficiency), which I am very proud of. The flexibility of the languages faculty at Cambridge has also allowed me to borrow papers from the Faculty of History (Soviet History from 1917-1991, Modern European History from 1890), in which I have achieved top grades.

I am also a published author and have spent years writing prose and poetry. I have had the privilege of giving creative writing courses in local schools, and I will continue to pursue my other childhood dream of becoming an established author in years to come, though I am under no illusion that this is easy!

I am currently due to start a part-time master’s in Central and South-East European Studies (history, politics, language) at University College London (UCL). I can't wait!
