Teaching Experience

Whilst I was at school, I volunteered for every opportunity that I could to help others.

Summer School Helper
I helped out at the summer schools for the students who would be starting at the school in year seven that September to help them get to know each other and the school.

Listener
I was a listener in year 11, which meant that when a younger student was going through a tough time but did not want to speak to a teacher, they could be assigned to me, and I would listen to their struggles and help when I can.

Form Mentor
When I was in year 11, I was assigned to a year 9 form where I spend morning and afternoon form times with the class, helping in any way that I could.

House Captain
When I was in years 9, 10 and 11, I was elected house captain to help get teams together for events such as sporting events or spelling bees and any other activity that was inter-house related.

When I was at university, I continued volunteering to help others. In my second year, I was a drama peer mentor, which means that a friend and I had a group of first-year students who we showed around the building and answered their questions and was their first point of call with questions about the course, city, university life or anything else.

Furthermore, I was a student ambassador whilst at university. Therefore, when potential students came to the drama department for their interview, I was there to answer any questions they had, show them around the building and take them to their interview. This was incredibly important to me as I knew how important my interview day was for being the deciding factor on the university that I wanted to be my top choice.

About Amy N

I have always been a hard-working and ambitious individual. Whilst at school, I was known for my great grades and dedication to the work assigned to me.

Alongside my studies, I also took part in many extracurricular activities. I was well known for taking part and excelling at sports events, particularly cross country, athletics, netball and swimming. I also took part in school plays and musicals due to my love of performing. I also volunteered to help out wherever I could, such as being a school mentor, house captain, listener and summer school helper. I then completed my bachelor's at a Russell Group university, The University of Manchester.

Alongside my studies at university, I was the Social Media Coordinator of the Shakespeare Society in my second year and the Vice President of the Shakespeare Society in my third year. I performed in multiple plays and short films. I assistant directed and produced 'Romeo and Juliet'; I was a member of an a-cappella group and also wrote a short film that was chosen by the filmmaking society to create. I enjoy reading and also writing. I have written three screenplays with my father and also novels myself. I am sporty, and I enjoy staying fit and healthy. I have always given my all to everything that I have done and been praised highly in my job roles and education. I pride myself on always wanting to be the best I can be and to help others.
