The second part of a practical singing course, seeking to teach students what it takes to write great songs. A range of styles considered, including rock, pop, soul, blues and acoustic.
This is the second of two practical-based courses, which will guide students through the initial steps of becoming a successful songwriter. Students will explore the most effective tools songwriters use to create lyrics and melodies, whilst gaining an understanding of the basic music theory commonly used in popular songwriting. Relevant to most contemporary styles (such as pop, rock, soul, blues and acoustic). These lessons will expand students' knowledge on lyrics and melody writing, whilst introducing them to techniques for arranging and producing their own music. This two-part course is the perfect introduction to music theory and songwriting.
