On this course, students study four amazing women (Florence Nightingale; Helen Keller; Jane Goodall; Rosa Parks) in history. They lived in different times and places where women weren’t expected to have great ideas, be in charge or have fantastic ambitions – but that did not stop them. Their lives and works didn’t just make history, they helped shape the world we live in today. These topics are ideally suited for Years 7, 8 and 9, or ages 11-14. On the course, students will have opportunities to participate in live discussion, answering comprehension questions, creating diagrams, timelines, narration of events in the form of a story, explaining points using historical facts, making observations and research work to expand their knowledge.
