Last year I worked as a house parent and academic assistant at The Royal Ballet School, one of the world’s greatest centres of classical ballet training, whose mission is to nurture, train and educate exceptional young dancers for the Royal Ballet companies and other leading UK and international companies and to inspire the future of classical ballet training. My responsibilities included acting as a full-time house parent, providing 24-hour pastoral support for 60 Upper School students, assisting in academic lessons and helping to support and engage the students in their degree programme and maintaining a consistent line of communication with parents and guardians.
I have also been working with the first charity dedicated to providing catch-up classes to students facing challenges in further education. There, I was responsible for delivering a bespoke education programme for students in colleges who have fallen behind in English as well as giving one-to-one and group classes.
This year, alongside my MA studies, I am working at a secondary high school to support students with special educational needs, from those with ASD to visual impairments.
I am a graduate of Cambridge University with a 1st Class degree in French and Italian. I am deeply passionate about education and am committed to helping people of all backgrounds, ages and abilities to develop both personally and academically. I come from a family of actors which has influenced my love of the creative arts. I am also passionate about writing, poetry, yoga and sustainability.
