Course Overview

This course is for students between the ages of 16-18 (A-Level) and will introduce the concepts of the 'more-than-human'; those entities in our world that contribute to our experience in ways which we may or may not recognise. It will focus on the relationship humanity has developed with animals, but also focus on more abstract topics such as ruined landscapes and food. Students will look at different animals like wild animals, domestic animals, farm animals and the human-animal. By the end of this course, students will have been exposed to a range of different topics that will have opened their eyes to the complexity of the human state and condition. This, in turn, will increase their appreciation of the life cycle and humanity's place within it.
