Course Overview

Have you ever read a book, visited somewhere, or seen somewhere on TV that looked or sounded magical and wonderful? From vast mountain ranges with wolves and eagles in Asia to tropical jungles filled with incredible birds and animals in South America, the world is full of wonderful places and things, all to be explored. This course will look at why the world looks so different in different places, and what these differences lead to; different plants, animals, landscapes and cities. It will first cover some introductory physical Geography, before looking at how the environment affects animals, plants and people. It will give students a good basis for understanding the world we live in.
