The goal of this course is to understand why we can use certain rules so that every student leaves with an intuition regarding division and has a comfortable grasp of the topic. Students also learn what happens when numbers do not go into each other by a whole number amount and then how this naturally leads on to the idea of fractions - how do they multiply and divide? By the end of this course, all students should not memorise but understand how to interpret questions regarding division and fractions and how this complements the ideas of multiplication that they have met earlier on in their education.
