Course Overview

Many people around the world speak the English language, but not everyone knows a lot about the United Kingdom beyond standard clichés. In this course, students are given the unique opportunity to develop their knowledge of English and British culture whilst practising spoken English. The course is aimed at intermediate to advanced students of the English language who have sound knowledge of English yet wish to further their familiarity with the U.K and its cultural life. By discussing topics that range from class structures to cooking and to punk and poetry, students of this course will gain a unique insight into contemporary Britain while polishing their pronunciation and developing their vocabulary.
