This course is designed to help learners master division skills. Understanding the bus-stop method (aka long division) is essential as students move up in the grade levels. These lessons begin with a revision of multiplication timetables. Division and multiplication go hand-in-hand so it’s crucial that students show mastery of their timetables. The main aim is to increase confidence in solving division questions. The course starts with simple division such as 64÷2, 72 ÷9, and division rules for multiples of 10. The difficulty gradually increases to dividing three-digit numbers, such as 125÷5, 276÷6, 96÷8. As confidence builds through practice we move on to harder examples and become experts of bus-stop division methods.
