Course Overview

Are you intrigued by mathematical proofs and how they are constructed? Do you like to win arguments and be able to back yourself up? Have you always thought that only Math geniuses can do proofs? Well, you can understand and write maths proofs too!  This course is an introduction to proofs and helps you understand what they are about. We start with one of the most famous methods of proof, known as proof by contradiction. We first explain what this is and then we start going right into some exercises!  This programme proves several math statements. For example, there is an infinite number of prime numbers. By the end of this course, you become familiar with proofs and can embark on your journey with proofs with a solid foundation of how they really work.
