Amour! Although the word evokes romance, love and happiness, Haneke's masterpiece is part of the topic 'Problématiques Du Couple'. The course aims at providing students with valuable insights and skills through an in-depth analysis of the key issues the film explores, whilst sharpening their film analysis skills by becoming familiar with the particular style of Haneke. Each lesson will be the opportunity for a critical analysis of an aspect of the film as well as essay-writing practice. By the end of this course, students will be not only very familiar with Haneke but will have increased confidence in analysing films in general.
